£35.00

Minoxidil 5% / Finasteride 0.1% topical spray combines two of the most clinically supported hair loss treatments in a single once-daily spray applied directly to the scalp. It works by boosting blood flow to follicles (Minoxidil) while reducing scalp DHT levels (Finasteride), with less systemic exposure than oral treatments.

Description

What is Minoxidil 5% / Finasteride 0.1% Topical Spray?

This is a compounded topical spray containing both Minoxidil 5% and Finasteride 0.1%. It is an unlicensed medicine off-label by a our team. The combination delivers two complementary mechanisms of action directly to the scalp, with lower systemic absorption than oral formulations.

How does it work?

Minoxidil widens blood vessels in the scalp (vasodilation), improving the flow of oxygen and nutrients to hair follicles. It prolongs the anagen (growth) phase of the hair cycle, increasing hair density. Finasteride inhibits 5-alpha reductase, reducing scalp DHT levels — the hormone responsible for follicle miniaturisation — locally, with minimal systemic DHT suppression.

How to use it

Apply to dry scalp in affected areas once daily. Part the hair, spray directly onto the scalp, allow to dry fully before styling. Wash hands thoroughly after application. Do not wash hair for at least 4 hours after application.

How long does it take to work?

Temporary shedding may occur in weeks 2–8. Stabilisation typically occurs within 3–4 months. Visible improvement is usually seen at 4–6 months, with maximum benefit at 9–12 months. Continued daily use is required to maintain results.

Who should not use this spray?

  • Women
  • Anyone under 18
  • People with sudden or patchy hair loss
  • People with scalp infection or broken skin
  • Anyone allergic to Minoxidil, Finasteride, or their components

Pregnancy warning

Pregnant women must not handle the spray or contact treated areas until dry. Use condoms throughout treatment as traces of Finasteride may be present in semen.
